doctors can prescribe in Australia because of laws that provide safe, legal access to medicines for certain health conditions. Our doctors have the necessary authorisation (AP) to do this. This is regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to ensure safety and efficacy. The aim is to offer alternative treatments under medical guidance for patients who may not have benefited from conventional therapies.

Consultations & Eligibility

We provide two options in terms of our consultations. 

Option A) with a consultation fee of just $29, we pay the rest and hold onto your scripts to be used at our clinic only. 

 

Option B) with the full consultation fee of $100, you hold onto your script to be used at any pharmacy of your choosing.

Booking your appointment is easy and convenient! You can schedule your appointment directly through our website using our online booking system. To see if you are eligible, you can contact our store for an initial consultation. Our pharmacist will guide you through the process, assessing your condition and treatment history to determine if medicinal cannabis is a suitable option for you. The entire process is carefully regulated to ensure compliance with Australian health regulations, requiring doctors to secure necessary approvals for prescribing medicinal cannabis.

Medications & Dispensing

Every case is handled individually. The TGA’s current approval timeline is 48 hours, however, if you see one of our senior practitioners, you may be approved and prescribed on your first visit to Trichome Medicinal Dispensary.
